Lindsey was born in Minneapolis but moved to the Valley of the sun after graduating high school. She received a Bachelor's degree from ASU in Communication and Business and spent the bulk of her career in sales, while fostering and training animals in her free time. She hung up her heels to follow her passion in 2011, when she started pet sitting, dog walking and training businesses, This Little Doggie Stayed Home and Unleash the Peace. Lindsey loves helping people create a better connection with their pets and has grown from a one woman show to a full team of dog walkers and trainers serving the East Valley. She is passionate about the dogs, giving back to community and helping those who selflessly always have our backs.
Ryan hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia and migrated to the desert in 2006. He spent half of his career playing professional hockey and is now spending the other half as a Firefighter. Ryan didn't have loads of dog experience when he met Lindsey in 2021, but he was immediately wrangled into all things dog when they started dating. Being a First Responder, Everyday Heroes & Hounds, was a cause he could easily get behind and he enjoys giving back to his community.
In their off hours, The Flinn's enjoy watching the kids sports and activities, hiking, live music, spending time with friends, and exploring new areas. They currently have a two-pack of dogs who assist in rehabbing dog training clients and keeping life exciting!
Lee was born in Illinois and grew up in a town that made Mayberry look like Gotham City. After completing college at the Colorado College for Difficult Boys, he was commissioned into the US Air Force and stationed in Los Angeles. Several years later he left LA with an honorable discharge, a jeep he still owns, a dream of being a firefighter, and the love of his life, Susie. Lee’s been in AZ for over 20 years and been a firefighter for over 20 years as well, and still calls it the best job in the world.
Susie was born in New Jersey and moved to California with her family and their two cats at the age of 7. She graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo CA with a degree in education. Thanks to her mom, Susie has always had a love for animals and been surrounded by pets most of her life. Several years later she moved to Manhattan Beach CA and then to AZ with her husband Lee where she has now been for the past 20 years working in the field of Human Resources. Being married to a veteran and firefighter for the past 20 years makes Susie excited about supporting the Everyday Heroes & Hounds cause.
